Oman Textile Mills Company L.L.C. (OTM), an ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System & ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management certified Company is situated in Rusayl Industrial Estate complex on the outskirts of Muscat. It is a Public Limited Company, owned 100% by Omani Nationals. OTM today is a striking example of Sultanate’s industrial success aided by private sector enterprises. The Company was established in early 1988 for production of textiles, primarily for the domestic market. Since then OTM has expanded its market to all of GCC and MENA region.
The Mill is well-equipped with state-of-the-art production lines from Europe and Japan, having Shuttle-less Projectile Looms in Weaving Department, Screen and Digital Printing, Dyeing and Finishing machines in Process House. OTM is well equipped to dye and print fabrics of varying blends like Cotton, Polyester, Silk, etc. Value added products are also offered with embellishment equipments including Embroidery, Crystal embossing, Gold foiling, Flock printing etc.
A carefully planned set up supported by auxiliary facilities such as a modern training center, worker’s facilities, water softening plant, waste and effluent treatment plants and a well-equipped testing laboratory augment the facilities available. The Company has modern Management Information System with Baan ERP implemented across all sections of the factory.
The Mill has focused on areas of quality control and design since its inception. Innovation and Product development is integral to the production activity and is supported by regular technological upgradation. A team of highly motivated and experienced fabric designers help keep the Mill abreast with the latest trends in designs and colours. The Mill is a fine example of Omani skill and ingenuity as a large number of the workforce comprises of Omanis, who have proven their merit beyond any doubt.
Oman Textile Mills is conscious about its social responsibility and works continuously towards environmental protection through suitable treatment of its effluents, safe handling and storage of hazardous raw materials, minimal waste generation, promote recovery and safe disposal of waste. Company takes special efforts in training and development of local workforce to effectively utilize their potential to produce world class products. The workforce of OTM is also trained in Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
