Established in early 1988 for the production of textile fabrics, primarily for the domestic market, Oman Textile Mills (OTM) has since then expanded its market to all of the GCC and MENA countries. Owned 100% by Omani Nationals, OTM today is a striking example of the Sultanate’s industrial success aided by private sector enterprises.

The Mill is well-equipped with the state-of-the-art production lines from Europe and Japan, with Projectile Looms in Weaving Department, Screen Printing, Digital Printing, Dyeing and Finishing machines in Process House. With a capacity to process 6 Million meters OTM is equipped to dye and print multi-fibre fabrics including that of Cotton, Polyester, Silk, Wool& Nylon.

High Value embellishment including Embroidery, Embossing, Crystal work, Gold foiling and Flock printing are also carried out with special equipments installed in OTM.

Oman Textile Mills has a carefully planned and laid out machinery set up supported with auxiliary facilities such as a modern training center, worker’s facilities, water softening plant, waste and effluent treatment plants and a well-equipped testing laboratory. The Company has modern Management Information System with Baan ERP System implemented in all sections of the factory.

The Mill has focused on areas of quality control and design since its inception. Every care is exercised to ensure 100% quality control. Innovation and Product development is integral to OTM’s production activity and is supported by regular up-gradation of technology. A team of highly motivated and experienced fabric designers help keep the Mill abreast with the latest trends in designs and colours.

OTM is a fine example of Omani skill and ingenuity as a large number of the workforce comprises of Omanis, who have proven their merit beyond any doubt. The company is conscious about its responsibility for maintaining balance in natural forces and works continuously towards environmental protection and committed to EMS through suitable treatment of effluents, safe handling and storage of hazardous products, minimization of waste generation, and promotes recovery, safe disposal of waste.

The company takes special efforts in training and development of its workforce to realize their potential in producing world class products. Entire workforce is trained in Health, Safety and Environment hazard preparedness as well.
